I'm not a placeholder

My life is pretty boring. I don’t often go anywhere special, or see anyone interesting, or take part in any amazing activities. However, one of things things I actually do enjoy, is working with the local humane society to foster animals. For me, it’s very rewarding to help an animal who is often completely lost. If I can help one animal out of a bad situation and find placement with a loving human, then at least I’ve done something right. This weekend, the wife and I got to see our 5th foster get placed.

Chrissy is an old dog who was recently diagnosed with cancer and suffering serious shelter depression. She went from not wanting to move, to loving walks and playing fetch in a little over a week. With that change we were able to help her meet a neat couple who were looking for a senior dog. This weekend they met with her, signed the papers, and left with her. I’m super happy, they’re super happy, and Chrissy (the dog) is super happy.

Not a bad weekend.
